Msfvenom linux stagers?

I want to deliver a staged implant using a metasploit exploit for xmlrpc endpoints. I see that there are instructions in the docs for generating a custom windows stager using msfvenom, but I do not see one for linux. I attempted to use one of the reverse tcp stager payloads for unix that are listed in msfconsole, but they automatically start a handler, which does not work as there is a already a sliver listener, and there is no way to disable the handler function in metasploit.

I am new to both sliver and metasploit, but as I understand it, something like this is workable

1. load xmlrpc_eval exploit in metasploit
2. point it at my server's xmlrpc.php endpoint
3. select payload. this is where I run into issues, as I cannot find a generic linux stager, and some of the metasploit payloads like payload/unix/cmd/generic that I have tried have not worked for whatever reason.

am I missing something?
