[BUG] Inventorychecks: “could not read files metadata” error with Agent 7.21.1 (Helm chart 3.142.0+)

Bug Report

After upgrading our Datadog deployment via the Helm chart, we started seeing repeated errors from the Agent related to inventorychecks:

CORE | ERROR | (comp/metadata/inventorychecks/inventorychecksimpl/inventorychecks.go:304 in getFilesMetadata) | could not read files metadata

This began as soon as we moved to a chart version that uses Datadog Agent 7.21.1.
Could you please help us check it?

helm chart: datadog-operator-2.15.2
agent version: 7.72.1
datadog region: eu-1
