🐞 Bug: Mic Mute Button and UI State Not Syncing

Description

The microphone mute functionality and UI state are currently not synchronized, causing confusion during study sessions.

Issues Observed

• Manual microphone mute does not work as expected.
• When the agent is muted, the Study Buddy UI does not correctly reflect the agent’s state.

Expected Behavior

• Manual mic mute should reliably mute/unmute the microphone.
• The Study Buddy UI should clearly display the agent’s current state:
  • Listening
  • Thinking
  • Speaking
  • Muted

Actual Behavior

• Manual mute action has no effect.
• Agent state is not accurately reflected in the UI.

Impact

• Users cannot reliably control audio input.
• Poor UX due to unclear agent status.
