Desktop Mode Controller Layout Request

Hi guys, thanks for awesome repo!
I was hoping to find here a desktop layout too, but there seems to be none. Does anyone have a good one for a regular desktop use (like browsing, windowsoperations, editing text, etc.) that you care to share? Ideally from the steam workshop so it's easy to find it from the deck right away, but even tips how to make a good one would be a great help!

Thanks for your kind words of appreciation for this project, I really appreciate them.

Regarding your issue, there are not many widely shared Steam Workshop style desktop productivity layouts yet. This is mainly because Desktop Mode always falls back to a single “Desktop controller layout”, and most community layouts are published per Steam title rather than for general desktop use. That said, people do share and apply controller profiles through Steam Input → Manage → Controller Configuration → Community Layouts if you add applications like a browser as non-Steam games.

Some users also create their own desktop oriented layouts with mouse control, scrolling, and common shortcuts, then export and share them manually. That might be the most flexible option for your use case. If you or someone else builds a good layout, feel free to share it here and we can link it in the repo so others can easily find it.

One additional note: on some SteamOS versions, browsing or applying community layouts can be a bit unreliable. If a layout does not apply correctly, reverting to the default configuration first and then reapplying usually helps.
