Hi everyone,
I'm trying to import a robot built for Webots 2025, but I'm running into a lot of difficulties. I searched for tutorials and documentation to help me, but almost everything I found was based on older Webots versions that had a simple file import option, which made the process much easier.
The version I'm using now doesn’t seem to have that straightforward import feature anymore, and the current workflow feels much more complicated and time-consuming than it used to be.
It’s really frustrating to see a feature that should be simple becoming harder to use over time. I’d like to know if there are any plans to simplify or improve the experience for users who want to import their own models. As it stands, the process is so cumbersome that I’m honestly considering switching tools just because of this.
I hope you can understand this from a user’s perspective. From what I’ve studied so far, Webots is an excellent tool overall, but this particular point has been very discouraging, and I still haven’t found a practical solution other than relying on the default built-in models.
Thanks for your attention.
