The best way (assuming you don't get any output via the video port) is to hook up a serial console and check for kernel stack traces or similar. Alternatively screenshots (or photographs / videos) of boot process output from the video port might help. If anything looks suspicious it's worth filing a bug: https://github.com/flatcar/Flatcar/issues Kernel 6.12 is currently in Beta and should hit Stable in the October or November release. If your issue persists please file a bug so we don't accidentally promote a buggy kernel to Stable. |

Hi,
I'm trying to run the beta channel on a Dell Precision 3420, which includes a HD Graphics 630 card. The reason why I want to try the beat channel is to be able to make use of the integrated GPU that comes with this card (unless there's another way, but I think it needs a more recent kernel than the stable channel).
I'm experiencing freezes at boot time, and don't know how to debug this. How can I perform a debug session to figure out what's happening at boot time?
On a relevant topic, when are kernel 6.12 kernels expected to reach stable channel?
Thanks
