Low FPS and choppy interface

What is the problem?

Before the latest version, smooth scrolling worked fine - 120 Hz screen was utilized. Now it's capped at 60 or less Hz or FPS.

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Launch the app
2. Begin scrolling

If that's really the case, that's very strange. I'll try to figure it out over the weekend.

So far, I haven't noticed this issue on my devices. I will also be testing it on a Pixel 8 later today.
​To help with diagnostics, could you please check your screen's refresh rate behavior? You can enable the counter via:

​Settings => Developer options => Show refresh rate

I cannot take screenshot with refresh rate shown on it, but it drops to 60 Hz when using Lichess. When static it goes down to 1 Hz as expected.

Removing the flutter_displaymode package appears decrease the FPS for some android phones, I was able to reproduce locally.
