Loading time for big Projects is too high

When loading my active project and starting the App I have to wait about 5 to 10 min just to begin drawing again. It would save time and I would use the app more when the loading time is reduced significantly.

I've timed the last time I wrote and this time now. Last time I had a waiting time of 18 min, which was fine but long. This time I honestly gave up after 2h and 30 min tracking the time.

I've now encountered another thing after opening the files. After opening the lines only appear at the beginning of the file and disappear at the edges of the screen, when you would open it the first time. This makes it that where I am now in the file. I do not have any lines anymore to write on.

Hey there, I'm using 0.6.0 and I have a save file that's around 2MB and has 31038 strokes and 350789 points according to the UI and it takes a few minutes to load. It's nowhere near the 2 hours @KanNelton mentions (if that's really the loading time), but it still seems to be a lot. I didn't time it, but it's surely more than 2-3 perhaps even 5 minutes., which seems to be unreasonably high anyways, considering 3D apps can load faster. Not judging or anything of course.

So I checked out the code and started lorien in godot editor. It opened up the file I spoke about in the previous comment and it took a few seconds only. I tried again a few times and wasn't able to reproduce the slow loading time. I also tried to start the 0.6.0 executable I've been using and it opened an empty unsaved file. I opened the same file in 0.6.0 version and now it was loaded in a few seconds. I closed the 0.6.0 executable with the file opened in a tab and when I launched the 0.6.0 executable again, it took it time. It's still loading, so I don't know yet how long it's gonna take.
Closing the tab in the 0.6.0 executable also takes a considerable amount of time.
The issue doesn't seem to be reproducible in 0.7.0. even after I built it into an executable (windows).
