Indicators values caching?

Are indicator values cached and only new values for latest bar (or last n bars calculated for period n)?

Or are indicators calculated again from beginning of data that is available at each new bar/tick? Also, If I want to make my own custom indicator, is the implementation of above on me or is caching handled automatically?

Because all indicators are different, there is no automatic caching. You'd have to store values in the actor/strategy or add to the Cache.
Indicators are typically just recalculated for each input, not start of data series - but this is actually up to you as well. Best thing to do is check out how existing indicators are implemented.
