I have a 17" M1 Max MacBook Pro, with a native resolution of 1728×1117@2x. I often want to test how things render in with a device pixel ratio of 1. So I run: betterdisplaycli pbetterdisplaycli set --name="Built-in Display" --hiDPI=offHowever, when I do this (or the equivalent in the menu), this forces the display to 1920×1080@1x. This has two effects:
Is there something I'm missing, e.g. a hardware limitation? If so, is there any workaround I can use to get a pixel ratio of 1? Apologies if this is covered somewhere, but I can't find any info about it. |

Hmm. Why do you have Use this to see what modes are available:
Note: Instead of simply toggling hiDPI, you can use a specific mode number to switch to or specify the resolution as well to make sure things don't get mixed up. |

Aha! Flexible scaling and a reboot worked perfectly, even with the notch. 🤩😍
