I have an M3 MBA and just switched to an LG 45GX950A-B (5120x2160) and I can't get BetterDisplay to actually add any resolutions above 3072x1296 (0.6x scaling) even though it says it's done it. 
Seems kinda weird to me? I did a search around and it seems like most people are using a virtual screen to manage it but that there's some finicky bugs with that, or that it's caused by an M4 chip. Any idea if I can do anything here other than the virtual screen? |

You may have this resolution in the app's Display Mode menu, but only in LoDPI, which will look bad imho. The only way around this is virtual screen mirroring or streaming. Both are workarounds with issues. |

Is there any way to add a HiDPI option? I know there's a lot of nuance to MacOS's rendering but I'm just surprised I can't get any resolution between 0.6x and 1:1. |

Ah, saw your answer over here and confirmed that I'm butting up against that on mine, too. So it's probably a limitation of the base M3 on an MBA. I checked my work M1 Max MBP and it did have a solid 3840x1620 option. ...this is turning out to be a very expensive monitor upgrade. |
