Clam shell mode no longer works ever since using app.

I tried this app out, and it was great to see all the advanced options at my disposal to tweak display settings. But after I closed the app, clam shell mode has since refused to work. I know what is required for clam shell mode (being connected to power and having an external keyboard and mouse), so don't ask about that. But now no matter how many times I restart and update, my external display will not stay on when the lid of my MacBook is closed. I have not opened the app since and even uninstalled it, but the issue remains. Very frustrating and I now regret fiddling with this app in the first place.

This is indeed less than ideal. Not sure whether it's an app related issue though as I don't see how it could possibly disable clamshell mode. If you used configuration editing you can try exhaustive reset: https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay/wiki/Safe-mode,-app-reset,-app-removal#exhaustive-reset
