I apologize if I'm stepping on any toes since this is similar to #10. I added separate methods to control the opacity of the stroke, shape fill (for circles), and background fill, contrary to your suggestion on #10, because I do need control over all three for what I'm using this library for (not a public project, but I needed to texture dc.js chart elements and I couldn't use rgba color because it needs to be SVG 1.1 compliant).
